Kollam Ham Fair 2015

The world Amateur Radio Day is celebrated every year on 18th April to commemorate the formation of International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) on this day in 1925 at Paris. The QARL celebrates the event every year on 18th April or the nearest Sunday by conducting Ham fair. This year the programme will be held on Sunday, the 19th April.

Venue: Rotary Club Hall, Beach, Kollam.
Date & Time: 19/4/2015 9.00 AM
Registration of delegates: 10.00 AM
Inauguration by Dr. A. Kowsigan, District Collector, Kollam
Exhibition: 11.30 A.M to 4.00 P.M

Exhibition and sale of fresh as well as old wireless equipments and components are arranged.

HF CONTEST:
In connection with the ham fair in April 2015 QARL decided to conduct an HF contest on 20 MTR 40 MTR and 80 MTR bands from 17.00 hrs on 14th March to 17.00 hrs on 15th March 2015. Points level and regulations will announce later.

VHF FOX HUNT:
All Kerala VHF FOX HUNT will be conducted at TOWN SQUARE, NEAR BOAT JETTY ALAPPUZHA. HOST: SPARES HAM CLUB ALAPPUZHA. Date: 12 TH APRIL 2015. For more information and registration call +91 9447497359 or email vu2rdl@gmail.com

Prizes of winners of Lake City Contest and 19th Kerala VHF Fox Hunt will be awarded in the function. A special issue of ‘QARL News’ will also be published on this occasion.
