Ham Radio in the new CBSE Syllabus

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular on 20th January 2005 to the Heads of Institutions affiliated to CBSE, introducing Disaster Management in the Social Science subject for examination for Class X for the year 2006. The topics also include Ham Radio, Tsunami etc. The component on Disaster Management will carry 8 marks in the Theory Paper.



Several years back on 14th May 1991, under the initation by NIAR, CBSE had issued a circular
introducing Amateur Radio as an activity under Work Experience from Class IX onwards in their schools and to contact National Institute of Amateur Radio, Hyderabad for necessary guidence.
