The Kerala State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Kozhikode District and Calicut Hams is organizing the 50^th World Scout Jamboree On The Air (JOTA). It will be held over the weekend of the 20^th and 21^st of October,2007. The JOTA station is located at Chevayur A.U.P. School, Chevayur, Kozhikode, Kerala. The operation timings will be :- On 20-10-2007 - 8 AM to 6 PM & 7.30 PM to 9.30 PM and on 21-10-2007 - 8 AM to 4 PM.

On occasion of 50th Jamboree on the Air - JOTA - Bangalore Amateur Radio Club - VU2ARC with VU2LCI - Lions Clubs International Amateur (Ham) Radio Club Station apart from taking part in the JOTA have released Special Postal Cover and Cancellation at GPO, Bangalore on 20th Oct 2007.

It is for the first time in our country that any postal cancellation is having call signs of VU2ARC and VU2LCI within RADIO SCOUTING.
