Coimbatore amateur radio club had planned to conduct ASOC Exam 2nd batch on last week of October/first week November 2012.
There are about 70 SWLs going to write the exam.

Amateur Radio awareness programme was conducted at Ranganathan polytechnic college, Coimbatore on 3rd september 2012. This function was organised by RPC IEI student chapter and RPC Ham Radio club. M.Sunmugasundaram VU2FOT was the Chief Guest of the event.D.Prabakaran, Principal, Ranganathan polytechnic college, coimbatore presided over the function. The event was a great success and it was attended by a large number of staff members and students from ECE and EEE departments.

Unfortunately there is a large amateur-radio competition in Germany during the JOTA weekend, called the WAG contest. However, we are pleased that the contest organizers have again arranged for frequencies that are kept free of contest traffic, so we can have a JOTA with minimal interference.
