According to information received from Officer in
Charge, Wireless Monitoring Station, Hyderabad the next Amateur Station Operators Licence exam will be conducted on 14th & 15th July 2004 from 10.00 am at National Institute of Amateur Radio, Hyderabad. (This is for the summer batch who had undergone training at N.I.A.R. from May 1, 2004).



The next batch has just started on July 1, 2004 at N.I.A.R., Hyderabad and the timings are 5.00 to 6.30 pm on all working [...]

India's first film about a Radio station is all set
for release this season. FM has arrived in India in a big way and now, Sanjay Bhatia has decided to produce, direct and write a project on the FM culture titled 99.9 FM. Bhatia's film deals with relationships and he refuses to classify it into any genre.He is co-producing the film with Nitin Sagar under the banner of their production house "Company 2 Grams."

OM Mani, VU2 ITI, had won the PICtail Design contest sponsored by MICROCHIP inc. The contest was to design and implement a circuit as a daughter board (tail board) for the flash pickit development board for low pin-count pic micro controllers. The contestants were from Asia pacific region.


VU2ITI's "Irrigation controller" had won the first prize. Contestants from Singapore and China bagged the second and third prizes respectively. Om Mani will receive 3000 US$ as first prize.
