I am very thrilled to inform that last night (6 Feb 2012) I have qualified for Diamond DXCC Award issued by American Radio Relay League (ARRL) by contacting 100 countries / entities during the calendar year 2012. The award is issued to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the prestigious DXCC award. One has to make contacts with 100 entities as per the Diamond DXCC list (Countries list as it was in 1937). Coimbatore Hams had conducted an ASOC Exam introduction programme today 26th Jan. 2012 & 5th Feb 2012 between 9.30 am & 12.30 pm at Asoka plaza Gandhipuram,Coimbatore.

About 40 Swls from Coimbatore, Salem, Palakkad, Karur, Udumalpet and 15 Hams had attended the programme. The ASOC exam coaching class is planned to start on 12 th of feb 2012 onwards and on every Sunday at 10.am to 12.30pm.
