Hello everyone! Thanks to this great site I've recently & successfully built a Multi Pic Programmer 5v2 & I'm very glad I've managed to make it work. Very Happy The problem is though I cannot make it through with WinPic800 v3.64 (the latest update available). Sad The programmer is actually well detected by the WinPic800 (as a JDM programmer), but I get no data from the PIC's program memory while reading (it's a 12F675)... Confused Other software like DL4YHF's WinPic, IC-Prog & PICPgm can read from & write to the PIC without any issue whatsoever. If anyone has faced this problem also please let me know, thanks! Smile

check whether 12F675 has facility for chip information display? This chip belongs to Basic range. try to read the datasheet.

I don't think it's related to chip's specifications. I've solved the issue actually... apparently WinPic800 doesn't work well with (my) COM2 port, I've switched the cable & the settings from COM2 to COM1 & now everything's in place & running properly. I reckon is a bug for WinPic800 as the other programs were working without a problem. Very Happy Thanks! Smile

Did you configure it with COM2 port. we cant do it as we have only one port with 9 pins, followed by DB25.
Thus we cant comment further.
However , Nice to know that it is working well
Perhaps you can leave a complaint on the forum of www.winpic800.com

at least others would get service.

Yes, evidently, as the line tests were working & the LED was blinking like during normal operation. Thanks. Smile

Click open the application -irrespective of languahe.

On the top you find few buttons
The "LAST BUT one" is language selection.
click it, change to English and then close the file

next time when you open , it would be your chosen language.
All the best.

If someone wish, they can also change the COM port used from device manager on a windows based machine.
sometimes if you have modem or other communication devices used, certain ports may not be free in system.

On device manager
One you navigate to Ports (COM & LPT)
select the shown device and click properties.
is will show device abc (com2) properties
click on Advanced
select a different com pot number from drop down.
