MULTIPURPOSE VFO FOR YOUR RIGS N.S.Harisankar. some doubts..

Postby Sreekesh » Wed May 11, 2011 8:38 pm

hello friends,

see the above title under circuits section of this site...
I would like someone to explain how this ckt really works??/..
doubts-

1. T1 is working in Emitter Follower Configuration, so base is the input and emitter is output. normally in amplifiers, base is at higher potential than emitter. But here why is it stated that emitter is at higher potential than base....iam really confused...

2. what does C4 and C5 do?

3.are all coils wound on normal IFT? coult 32swg enamelled wires be used?

4.How to wind L2, the LPF inductor?

5.I think the second and third transistors only buffer the VFO. So can any other buffer amps be used?

I would be glad and it would be really helpful if someone answere this all questions

Thanks in advance

Where from you got this info? It is clearly states that base is +0.24 higher than emitter.
